Welcome to the Stellar Soroban University Hackathon — a 4-week virtual competition for university students to build decentralized applications using Soroban's smart contracts on the Stellar network. Whether you're passionate about DeFi or creating consumer-friendly apps, this is your chance to turn an idea into a working prototype and compete for prizes.
We're looking for teams that can combine technical skill with creative thinking to deliver something genuinely useful. You'll have access to Stellar's developer resources and a community of mentors to help you along the way.

The total prize pool is 100 USDC, distributed as follows:
Overall prizes are awarded to the top three submissions regardless of track. Track prizes recognize the best submission within each of the two focus areas: DeFi and Consumer Apps.
This hackathon is open to university students worldwide. Teams may consist of 1 to 4 members. All team members must be currently enrolled in a university or another higher education institution. KYC verification may be required to receive prizes, and winners must comply with applicable sanctions and export controls.
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of Stellar and Soroban experts based on three equally weighted criteria (with weights shown in parentheses):
